Adam Beck Eco-Update – January/February 2020

While the bushfires in Australia were at their peak in January, the students in P2 wrote letters and made posters to raise awareness of the plight of Australian animals who were injured or who lost their homes or families because of the fires.

The posters were displayed around the school.

Here is the text from one of their letters:

Dear Parents, Guardians and Teachers,

We are writing you this letter because we want everyone to know about the Australian bushfires and how we can help the wildlife.

These are some of the things the Australian animal shelters need: hanging pouches, animal beds, joey pouches and much more.

If you’d like to help save the animals and you know how to sew, knit or crochet, or you just want to donate money, go to this website: www.facebook.com/groups/659914731079141.

It hurts the animals. Please help us. Thank you!
