Daily Bread Food Drive for Ramadan
Help us collect non-perishable food items and donations for members of our community struggling with food insecurity.
The Daily Bread Food Bank reports that in the last year, food bank visits in Toronto reached an all-time high of 4.1 million — more than half a million higher than the year before, and a 340% increase since 2019. Learn more here.
Ramadan, observed in the Muslim community, is a month of reflection, spiritual growth, spending quality time with loved ones, and charity.
With this high need in our community the Adam Beck School Council is hosting a Ramadan Daily Bread Food Drive to collect nut free, non-perishable food items and donations to those in need in our community. The food drive will take place from February 18 to March 13, 2026, at Adam Beck. Together, with your support we can support our communities and help end hunger in our city.
What and How to Give
If you are able to give, you can help by:
- Sending nut-free non-perishable food items with your children to school. There will be bins in the hallways: one outside the main office and one outside VP’s office on the second floor.
- Donating money directly to the Daily Bread Food Bank through our Adam Beck Fundraising Campaign Page.
Most-Needed Items
- Canned Vegetables
- Canned tomatoes (whole, diced, crushed)
- Oatmeal
- Canned Fruit
- Canned fish (tuna, salmon, sardines).
Our heartfelt thanks for your generous support for helping families in our community have a happy Ramadan!
