Holiday Party 2024 – Everything You Need to Know

The season of community outreach and celebration is marked by our Holiday Party, where our School Council launches our Adopt-a-family program and other donation opportunities.

Adopt-a-family

The Adam Beck Holiday Party officially launches our Adopt-A-Family campaign. Each year Adam Beck sponsors 4-5 families in need and provides them with everything they need to have a happy holiday.

Cards for Seniors

Many seniors go without a lot of support over the holidays. Cards will be available for writing and decorating and Community Centre 55 will distribute these cards to seniors bringing some cheer.

Local Artisan Market

The artisan market showcases local small businesses, parents and students, who make fantastic creations to help you get a jumpstart on some holiday shopping.

Book Sale

Our used book sale raises funds for the Grace Pascoe foodbank. Parents and guardians are encouraged to drop off any books looking for a new home to the addresses listed in the School Council newsletter.

Food Drive

Please bring non-perishable food items and cash donations to the event. All items collected will be donated to the Grace Pascoe food bank.

Hockey Gear Drive

Clear out your basement or garage and donate your outgrown hockey gear. Collecting only – hockey bags, helmets, sticks, shoulder pads, elbow pads, shin guards, pants, skates. (We can not accept – jerseys, socks, undergarments, jocks/jills, neck guards or goalie gear)

Family Photos

Festive family photos will be available in Mr. Mason’s room. Local favourite, Gingy from Charlie Pickles shop (imagine a large friendly gingerbread cookie!) will be on-site to join for photos.

Music

Expect some fun and festive local music to add to the cheerful atmosphere!

Ball Hockey

Bring your ball hockey stick and helmet to the parking lot. Please be sure all children are supervised by a parent or guardian.

Free Pancake Breakfast

Join us for an epic pancake breakfast with all the toppings. And coffee for the grownups, of course!

Volunteering

If you want to volunteer to help at the event, please see either the Council newsletters or social media posts for the link to sign-up.
