Read-a-Thon Results

We are thrilled to share the results of the 2024 Read-A-Thon! Thank you to every student who participated and their teachers and caregivers who cheered them on. You should all be extremely proud of your personal achievement. All prizes will be awarded at the assembly – date to be announced!

This year we had approximately 180 entries with a total of 181,990 minutes read!

  • Dassios Cup Winner is Mme. Bettas’ class with a total of 29,794 minutes
  • The class with the most participants was Mme Bettas’ with Mme Kneller’s close behind
  • The grade with the highest number of participants was the Grade 2s with 29 entries.

Top Readers: The student who read the most minutes in each grade will receive a $20 gift card to a favourite local business: Charlie Pickles, Ella Minnow books, Fearless Meat, Star Nails or The Sweetest Things (if the student did not indicate their preferred gift card, they will be awarded an Ella Minnow gift card).

  • Grade 4 = Marshall M (room15)

Our top reader in the whole school was Marshall M in grade 4!

Draw Winners: Students who met or exceeded the recommended minutes goal for their grade had their name put into a draw to win a $20 gift card from a local business. In addition, for every 50 minutes above their goal, they received another entry into the draw. Winners will be announced at the assembly so stay tuned!
