School Council Surplus Budget (2023-2024)
The School Council is projected to have a surplus of funds available by June 2024. As a result, we put a call out to all Adam Beck community constituents (parents, teachers, and administrators) to submit proposals for how the funds can be spent. Thank you to the Adam Beck school community for providing suggestions and ideas on funded initiatives. Based on the initiatives that were submitted a budget amendment proposal was crafted.
The criteria for the initiatives to be included in the development of the budget amendment proposal:
- Widespread support for the initiative of the Adam Beck School Council Members
- Cost of the initiative fits within the projected surplus.
The budget amendment proposal was approved at the Adam Beck School Council meeting on Thursday, November 23, 2023 and includes the following initiatives:
- School Library Revitalization ($6000)
- Sports team apparel and pop-up tent ($2900)
- Equality Donation 2.0 ($240)
- Mayfair Caretaking Costs ($480)
- Holiday Party Caretaking Costs ($480).
