Attention parent and caregiver entrepreneurs

Dear Adam Beck parent and caregiver entrepreneurs,

It’s almost time for our virtual holiday party! In previous years we have run an in-person event with an artisan and local vendor market where Adam Beck families could kick-start their holiday shopping.

This year, since the event is virtual, we’re trying something new. We are putting together an Adam Beck “Holiday Shop Local Directory.” The goal is to encourage Adam Beck families to support our amazing local businesses and artisans.

If you own or operate a business that sells items or services that are good for gifting, we would love to include you in our directory.

We would also like to include details of any holiday promotions that you are offering. If there are any perks or incentives, such as a gift with purchase, a small discount or a loyalty club, that you would like to offer exclusively to the Adam Beck community, let us know and we’ll include the info in our directory.

To add your business to the directory, please email Sarah Nelson at [email protected] by November 26 with your business name, website address, a brief description and any promotion details.

Thanks for making the effort to bring this to our attention. The committee strives to make their graphics diverse and to be representative of students at Adam Beck, so your comment is helpful and appreciated. The committee will use it to make their graphics more inclusive going forward.

Is there a reason the kids on the poster are all matched by race? This is really odd. My kid was one of the only black kids in his grade. I really think this poster could have been better thought out.

I will submit my idea formally a bit later, but for now… Mr. Mason and I have chatted about a ukulele club and/or the potential for students to learn how to play the ukulele. I believe Kimberly PS has something in place already after school. So, we would need budget to purchase a few dozen ☺️
