Snowy, cold weather getting you down? Our annual Night on the Beach fundraiser is just around the corner, on Friday, April 11th at the Balmy Beach Club! We're back at it and pleased to announce a brand new Platinum Sponsor, Matt Vatcher of Royal LePage Connect Realty! We're thrilled to have fellow Adam Beck parent Matt Vatcher on board. Check out Matt's IG @torontosrunningrealtor and Facebook page Toronto's Running Realtor for more information about how he can help you with your next real estate move.
This night out for grown-ups only includes nibbles, cashless bar, silent auction, DJ, dancing, and more! Official ticket sales open up in early March via School Cash Online ($30 each), but if you can't wait to secure your ticket - we'll also be at the next movie night (Friday, February 21st) with a select number of pre-sale tickets available for purchase. We'll also be happy to answer any questions you might have about the event.
Huge thanks again to Matt Vatcher for his generous support of the Adam Beck school community!! ... See MoreSee Less

1. Create a reading list - what books will your child read this month?
2. Need some new books? Encourage your child to take out a book from the Adam Beck library, visit the Toronto Public Library or check out a local bookstore.
3. Know how many minutes your child needs to read to be entered into our draw and plan your reading time each day:
- JK/SK = 150 mins
- Gr 1-3 = 300 mins
- Gr 4-5 = 450 mins
- Gr 6 = 600 mins
4. Download the reading log here or speak to your teacher if you did not receive a paper copy last week.

Movie night is TONIGHT (Friday, January 24)! We are watching The Wild Robot!
Movie night is a fun night out for students where the school council sells pizza, drinks and treats to raise money for its initiatives. Students take on the best seats in the house (the gym floor) and they bring their own sleeping bags, blankets, pillows and even their favourite stuffie. Doors open at 6:30pm, the movie starts at 7:00pm and there will be a brief intermission about halfway through the movie.
* Parents/guardians are required to be in the gym with their children throughout the evening.
