Monsterbash – October 27, 2018 – Last Day to Buy Wristbands Online
Monsterbash-Colouring-Contest-2018Monsterbash is a spook-tacular Halloween party, our first big fundraising event of the school year.
Monsterbash wristbands and tickets are now available for purchase on Munchalunch. Only students need wristbands(not parents, nor pre-school siblings). Advance wristband price is $10, going up to $15 on the day. Tickets will be sold in groups of ten through Munchalunch.com, and for .50 each at the door. (You’ll need tickets for food purchases, bake table, and some activities.) Avoid the huge lineups this year, buy your wristbands and tickets early!
Look for the pumpkin in the schoolyard this week and next Head Monsters Karen McMullin and Kristine Holder will be selling wristbands and tickets in the school yard (Karen will be wearing a puffy orange coat, hence the pumpkin reference!). Wristbands and ticket packages will be available for sale at Rendez Vous on October 26th. Wristbands and tickets bought via Munchalunch.com by end of day on Oct 25th will be sent home in your child’s backpack on the 26th. Munchalunch sales will close at 10 pm on the 25th. Wristbands and tickets will then be for sale at the event starting at 4 pm. We recommend you buy online to avoid the lineup!
Volunteers
We are in dire need of parent volunteers and high school students to help with the food tables, the bake table, and the haunted house. (we give community hours to high school students!) We also need Grade 5/6 students to assist with running the games and other jobs. If you’d like to volunteer, or your kid wants to, please use this link to sign up:

We especially need help setting up the Haunted House on Friday, October 26th, between 6:30 and 9 pm. Bring a staple gun if you have one, or your own sweet self. The Haunted House is our biggest draw, and this year it needs to be super scary! There are loads of fun things to volunteer for, whether it’s for 30 minutes, 60 minutes, or more! Happening This Week!
Colouring Contest!
Monsterbash is working with Ella Minnow Bookstore (991 Kingston Road) on a great Halloween colouring contest! Colouring sheets will be handed out by teachers this week, for your kids to bring home and colour. Please take the finished sheets to Ella Minnow bookstore by October 30th. There are three categories: kindies, primary, and junior. There will be one prize per category with the approximate retail value of $20, to be determined randomly by the staff of Ella Minnow Bookstore. Coloured sheets will be posted randomly by the staff of Ellan Minnow. This contest is only open to students of Adam Beck at this time.
