Read-a-Thon results are in!
We are delighted to share the results of the 2018 Read-a-Thon program and present you the list of awardees!
Here are the impressive highlights of this year’s program which took place between February 2-25. During the 24 days:
355 students participated (out of ~500 students)
Students read a cumulative total of 298,088 minutes: that is 4,885 hours or 204 days!
Students read an average of 875 minutes (that is over 14 hours!), a 34% increase from 2017
82 students read 1,000 minutes or more joining the +1,000 Minutes Club (a 64% increase from 2017 when the club welcomed 50 students)!

The Dassios Cup
The coveted Dassios Cup – named in recognition of the efforts of Gianna Dassios, a librarian and technology teacher at Adam Beck, now retired –was awarded by Mme Dassios herself to Room 11, Grade 5/6 – Ms. Butler whose students read a cumulative 48,967 minutes and had 100% class participation!
